Biography

Jason Wilkinson brings over a decade of distinguished legal expertise to the Eastern Caribbean Asset Management Corporation (ECAMC), where he serves as Manager, Legal Services and Corporate Secretary. His career spans senior roles at an eminent law firm in Barbados, where he specialised in complex cross-border financing transactions and corporate restructuring, and a long-established law firm in Barbados, where he represented public and private sector clients before the High Court and Court of Appeal of Barbados across a broad range of practice areas. His experience further extends to the financial sector through roles at an investment bank and an asset management company, where he gained exposure to risk assessment, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance. 

Mr. Wilkinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance, an LL.B. and an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of the West Indies, and an MBA from the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business. He was called to the Barbados Bar in 2015 having completed his Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School. In his role at ECAMC, he provides strategic legal counsel to the Board of Directors and executive management, oversees corporate governance, leads negotiations with external parties, and plays an integral role in the Corporation’s receivership functions for ABI Bank Ltd. (In Receivership).
